The DCO Member Prize For Digital Prosperity For All will be selected by the international judging panel from the winners of the five award categories and will award the initiative demonstrating the most outstanding contribution. The coverage and support the winner will receive will enable them to develop their project further, and progress over the following 12 months will be documented to showcase the impact and outcomes of the project after the awards.
The DCO International Prize For Digital Prosperity For All is only open to civil society from any country for a worthy global company. The Award will go to a project or organization which is tackling a global goal or challenge related to a Sustainable Development Goal.
The winner of The DCO International Prize for Digital Prosperity for All will be chosen from the 5 winners of the individual award categories by the global judging panel.
The awards are set around three pillars; Digital Transformation, Digital Innovation and Empowering Society. Each pillar represents a key theme which cascades down into five individual awards. There will be two winners for each award; a winner from the public sector and a winner from the private sector (both from DCO member states only). There will also be a finalist for each award from civil society (open to global entrants).
The pillar Digital Innovation recognizes the creation and innovation of new digital solutions. From R&D to concept delivery, new creative technologies are crucial to tackling both industry and society challenges across a number of sectors. International collaboration on research, development and innovation for facilitating advances in digital technologies will be a critical gauge on how countries are tackling their own challenges whilst benefiting from their shared experiences with their partners. The category within this pillar is ‘Disruptive Technology Solutions’.
Implementation of disruptive digital technology which promotes innovative change and enhances services to create social impact.

The award for decision-making in digital transformation will be given to a company that can demonstrate the positive impact they have had both inside their organization and on society by exhibiting exceptional skills in navigating the complexities of digital transformation through decision-making. This could be through the implementation of cutting-edge data analytics tools, integrating emerging technologies which impact decision-making, or advanced data platforms which increase efficiency and encourage data sharing.
Collaborative relationships between companies and social entrepreneurs to achieve product innovation to enhance regional and global digital development.
Cooperation between partners is critical when fostering collaboration and teamwork to enhance experiences for stakeholders through creativity and innovation. This award will celebrate those who have come together by sharing knowledge and experience to achieve a common goal, whilst positively implementing digital transformation. Submissions for this category should demonstrate collaborative efforts through measures such as implementing new workflows to encourage cooperation, introducing tools which promote collaboration or establishing training and education to build a culture of collaboration which will drive the growth of digital transformation in their sector.
The final pillar, Empowering Society, will celebrate advances in social processing and increased social inclusion as a direct result of the digital economy. A multifaceted approach is highly desired to understand the digital divide, including data-divide, in each country through social factors; digital education and specific solutions to challenges will be crucial. Initiatives which demonstrate dedication and innovation to create a technology ecosystem within their community, specifically focusing on the categories ‘Ethics’ and ‘Environment’ will be rewarded within this pillar.

The Ethics Award recognizes organizations or companies that have made significant contributions to advancing social processes and promoting digital inclusion while prioritizing ethical considerations and ensuring increased trustworthiness. The award celebrates those who have worked to ensure that emerging technologies are accessible to all, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or socioeconomic status, and have created platforms, digital tools, and services that empower users to make informed decisions and protect their digital rights. Submissions will provide evidence of a multi-organizational effort to promote projects or programs that facilitate a technology ecosystem within their community, improving connectivity and digital intelligence, particularly within vulnerable or marginalized populations. Applicants should also provide evidence of a digital project centered on high ethical standards, resulting in tangible increased trust from partners or the community. The award seeks to recognize companies that have taken a proactive approach to addressing ethical risks associated with emerging technologies, including but not limited to, lack of trust, security issues, and lack of regulations, and have demonstrated a commitment to ethical best practices through advanced research and ethical solutions.
